Sooooo....they're thinking of deleting inactive accounts. Guess I better post something then, huh? ;) It's been kinda rough these past couple months, as I've been fighting off a bad viral infection on the computer. Took it to a repair guy, but pretty much all that did was help me find the name of what I had. He infected his computers with it and installed Windows XP Home on my Windows XP Pro laptop. (College-installed pro, so it was legal, no matter how cranky he got.) Yeah, he was kinda nasty about it by the end, like it was my fault he couldn't fix it. I fixed it easy once I had it home, the name of the virus, and a little online help. What's taken so long is things like getting it back to my XP pro restore disk, getting it up-to-date on Windows updates, that sort of thing. It's like it's been cursed, as every time I fix one problem a new on would pop up.
Right now, the only problems I'm having with it are a sudden refusal to burn cds properly - it burned one fine, I tried to use a different program, and now there is a problem with each CD - its sudden refusal to convert videos properly, and the fact that it starts up really slowly.
Oh well. At least it's working again, mostly. And I'm back. For now, at least.
