Jan. 7th, 2009 02:01 pmFirst, the old. Has anyone else heard of this guy? (thatguywiththeglasses.com, the Nostalgia Critic) Starting off the old year remembering something old. Something tells me this is prime fodder for later. Most of his videos are on the above website, but they take forever to load for me.
I think I've seen about half of those movies...and yes, they are worth it. I'll say which if asked. Moving on...
Now the new begins!
And a couple extras for not having any videos for two weeks, one for no internet and one with remembering the internet.
Here's a real life update from me, since I'm updating. So, Christmas and everything was awesome. Except for one thing. I got Wall-e, which is awesome. The dvd skips, which is not. So we exchanged it. The new one skips in the same spots! I know it's not the players I tried it in, as I rented it first and it played beautifully. (Great movie. Loved it.) So we contacted Disney, and they want the disc. Said they'll check and if it is defective, they'll send me a new one. Now I know it freaks out, but now I am too. Worrying over if for some reason it doesn't skip for them, or they think I'm exaggerating. (It skips during the opening, then it's a minute or two before it does it again. Then there's another few minutes...maybe up to five...before it does it again. It waits just long enough between skips that you think it's not gonna do it again.) So now I'm freaking that they won't think it's enough, or that the one they send me ends up skipping again. I'm thinking of including a note with the DVD, since I didn't get as specific as I'd like when I reported it. I know I'm probably over reacting, and that they'll check the disc before they send it too me, but everything has been against me getting the movie. It's just a little thing, but it's bugging me. Think I'm done bitching now, I just can't get it out from under my skin since I love the thing and it's giving me all these problems.
Everything else is going pretty good. I'm trying to edit and rewrite the Nanowrimo novel from 2007 and edit and write and ending for the 2008, since I have until roughly April to get a free print copy of both and I'd rather have something I can be proud of printed. It's slow work. Hard to edit your own stuff, and I'm shaky about how I ended the 2007 but not sure how to change it.
I hope everyone else is doing well so far this year. Wish me luck and an end to worry with Wall-E. It's a good movie and worth the work, but I shouldn't have to go through this hassle for it.
