We just had a fairly interesting emergency here...I'm posting about it while Mom is still downstairs doing a few last details. Seems this morning she cleaned out the lint filter in the dryer then forgot to close the little door in front of it. After I get up, we go through the 'do you smell something hot?' routine. We check downstairs. The dryer is smoking. We only lost a few pairs of underwear and a pair of my pajama pants, but still. Smoking Dryer. Nasty.

...The smoke detector has still not gone off. Not sure how I feel about that.
