The Song Game!

lady_phenyxOk, here's the point of this random thing: These are my favorite lines from 20 random songs on my playlist. Your job is to guess the song title and artist without looking them up online or looking at the previous guesses, if there are any. If this goes over well I may try again with just the first 20 songs that come up on my list.
So, here's the first go:
1. Maybe we've been living with our eyes half open/maybe we're bent and broken.
2. Don't stop looking, you're one step closer/Don't stop searching, it's not over.
3. Fly to a dream far across the sea/all the burdens gone.
4. Oh how I wish for soothing rain/how I wish to dream again.

6. I only wished to become something beautiful through my music/through my silent devotion.
7. As sure as the rivers reach the seas, back in his arms he swears she'll be.
8. I could swear that there's someone somewhere watching me.
