Hi everybody. Just felt like updating (finally). If you notice my mood - 'wired' - there's a reason for that. And possibly for the tone of this update, which I feel like I'm typing extra fast. I felt roughly 80% asleep before rehersal, so I grabbed something to drink from the biestro to try and wake up a little. The can I grabbed, Von Dutch, has a warning in it that says it shouldn't be drunk by 'children, women who are pregnant/nursing, or those sensitive to caffeine'. I thought I was more tolerant than I apparantly am...so I'm talking more than usual, faster than usual, and am bouncy. Which is scary.
Anyway, I have been meaning to talk on here for awhile anyway. The radio show has had two airings so far - it's lots of fun. We had a substitute DJ for the second show, and we freaked him out. He had a spazz attack in the middle of the show, complaining that he couldn't tell if we were a talk or music show, or what we were playing, or what we were doing. We felt rather proud of that. We have played the strangest music thus far. Nightwish, Goo Goo Dolls and Elmo, They Might Be Giants, and Colonol Claypool's Flying Frog Brigade are a sampling of what we've done thus far. We've played Balderdash - a bluffing game - and Battle of the Sexes on the air. We've managed to record both shows too, but only one is on the computer so far.
Some of you may have tried to click the link for the webpage at the top of this journal. It's almost open, I swear. I want to finish all the sites before I open any of them, though I did open the Seventh Circle one so someone could see it. I just have to reconfigure some stuff on the others - if I ever have time - and they'll be ready.
There are a ton of papers due this semester, it seems. That and the job search. There really aren't any positions for fresh-from-college people in the museum field, it seems. I'm trying, though. The papers and homework due right now just make it more fun.
I think the energy drink is finally wearing off a little. I hope so, as I feel very silly while wired. I think everyone else around here will also appreciate me returning to normal. I think everyone who knows me realizes how wired I am just by the tone of this entry and by how long it is.
I'm remembering my Robert Fulghum books right now. He's the guy who wrote All I Really Need To Know I Learned in Kindergarten,It Was On Fire When I Lay Down on It,Uh-Oh, and Maybe, Maybe Not (http://www.robertfulghum.com/) In all of his books, he remembers about the book that begins in the middle of a sentence and ends in the middle of a sentence and does the same at the end of his, because it indicates that everything continues onward. Sometimes that's a good thing. So much so that
