Sep. 2nd, 2008 02:03 pmHey everybody! Weird thing happening. You may have seen the trailer for the new movie coming out, Nights in Rodanthe?
( Trailer here )
The weird part? We were in Rodanthe when they filmed that. The 'inn'? It's a house at the edge of town called Serenity. Every year, it gets flooded underneath. In fact, it's condemned right now. The ocean decided it wanted it, so it stole every thing underneath - like the sewage system and most of the sand. The pier they're on - we've been on that beach and pier. There used to be a restaurant attached to it, but it got destroyed in a hurricane and moved roughly a mile away. There's a whale buried under the pier - it beached itself under there. Name anyplace in that movie, we've probably been there (and it's probably different than they said it was). They talk about a really bad storm in the movie, and they had to stop filming for about four days while we were there because of a real storm. Oh, and the hair in the movie? Totally 'Hatteras Hair'. Don't bother with hair products, the beach will do what it likes to your head anyway.
