Kennywood Band Days - What Joy.
Jul. 6th, 2005 07:53 pmOkay, it's been a couple of days, but I felt the need to talk a bit. As I was talking about before, we went over to my Aunt and Uncle's for a picnic last Saturday. Surprisingly pleasant, seeing as how I usually have little to talk about with my relatives. I guess the fact that they talk to me as a fellow adult rather helps. My one Aunt found out I'm researching a bit into Wicca. I get the feeling she's playing around with it, though she claims to be serious. But then, this is the same Aunt who got her husband and three small kids to move to a house in the middle of nowhere so she could get a goat. She calls it Emily. She is also the same one who moves from project to project rather rapidly, so I guess my belief that although she is serious now in her way but that it won't last is excusable.
Well, the day after was the community band's performance at Kennywood. I am so glad I can't play an instrument they can use. -_-^ We went out early since we had free ride-all-day passes thanks to Dad playing, but we aren't really a ride-oriented group. The only thing Dad and I went in was the Noah's Ark house. Kinda creepy in there, but at least we went through the whole thing. Got soaked at the end, but it was cool. Mom laughed about it since a party of about six went in after us. About half of them came out at the first exit - there are dozons of them. It was 'too scary' in there. She laughed since they came out so fast but her family had dissapeared for at least fifteen minutes and took about five to ten more to emerge. There were some really cool effects in there, so I'm glad we at least did something. It was fun just to walk around the park and watch people, then later to watch the performance.
The Fourth wasn't much to talk about - just setting off some stuff in the driveway. Still, it was fun. There are a ton of projects around here to work on - like building a shelving unit, learning to play the guitar we finally got, getting the water back(again) and more. Well, it's about time I got to work on a few of those - later, everybody.
